Connections is a time when individuals in a group gather to focus, collect, and even share thoughts. Although these reflections can be warm and personal, they are usually also quite closely related to the group task.

A quiet group meeting precedes our Forum work sessions. We try to sit in a circle, comfortably and patiently allowing the greater purposes of the group to merge with individual purposes. It is not a time for discussion or conversation or even planning.

Connections lingers long enough to support introspection and ends shortly after a gentle reminder: "If anyone is about to speak, now would be a good time."
